Nobody's children

2017, collection of photographs from stock markets

I buy and collect photos of mentally disabled children and young people, mostly with Down syndrome, which are available for purchase through stock photography websites. The stock photography easily creates a meaningful, visual stereotypes, so I wander in these marginal areas of stock archives to observe how children unpretentiousness is forced into a form of visual, digital product, usually priced from 9 to 24 euros. Each photo is accompanied by the original title and price, the same as in the service where it was purchased. Authors, by convention, are skipped.
